Shavuot
May 25-27
Shavuot (weeks), is one of the three pilgrimage festivals. It comes after counting forty-nine days and seven weeks of the Omer, begun on the second night of Passover.
It is also the day the Torah was given on Mount Sinai. Friday, May 26, marks the 3,335th anniversary since we heard the Ten Commandments from G-d.
Let’s celebrate this day by reliving those moments as we hear the Ten Commandments read in the synagogue. And just as every last one of us was present at Sinai, let’s make sure that all of us, men women and children rejoice together.
